The site as it stands today
Proposed development for up to 150 homes, including 12 acres of public open space and £1.8 of financial contributions
INTRODUCTION
This website introduces Hollybrook and explains the emerging proposal to deliver up to 150 high-quality and sustainable homes on Land East of Potash Road.
You are invited to provide feedback on the emerging proposal, which will be considered by the project team before a planning application is submitted to Basildon Council.
The site was previously allocated for around 255 homes in the withdrawn draft Local Plan. As such, this scheme will deliver 105 fewer homes than originally intended, a 41% reduction.
The emerging development proposal provides an opportunity to address the housing crisis through the delivery of homes for families and young people in such a desirable location.
OVERVIEW OF THE EMERGING PROPOSAL
A mix of up to 150 new homes, including starter homes and affordable homes.
£1.8m of direct financial contributions to upgrade local infrastructure, including the NHS, schools and highways.
£5 million investment into the local economy, creating 14 new full-time jobs and 10 construction apprenticeships.
Unlocking up to 12 acres of public green open space, including woodland and play areas for children.
Protecting existing ecology, while enhancing biodiversity and providing new landscaping opportunities.
